In Love with Color

CR Rousseau's vibrant abstracts draw inspiration from fashion, the human form and the energies found in relaxed West Coast lifestyles. Growing up around water in the Pacific Northwest and on the California coast, her work reflects a playful spirit with a penchant for color and simplified forms. 

Paying acute attention to the energy of culture and color, her works are layered and multi-faceted compositions. "I'm multi-lingual in my visual and conceptual vocabulary which emerged through an ever-evolving practice... I love to focus on points between abstract, impressionist and expressionist styles. Since I was a child, I've been drawn exploring new ideas and techniques” said Rousseau. Framing her practice in "bodies of work" gives space to evolve her style through play, garnering international attention as an "Emerging Artist to Watch in 2024".
